Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions Answered

Everything you need to know about our Move-On and Transitional Housing programme in Yorkshire.

Referrals can be made by support workers, social workers, local authority housing teams, charities, probation officers, or individuals themselves. We welcome referrals from a wide range of professionals and organisations working within the housing and support sector across Yorkshire.
In most cases, we aim to have an assessment completed and move-in arranged within 2 to 10 working days from receiving a referral. The exact timeline depends on accommodation availability and the complexity of the individual's support needs.
We welcome residents in receipt of Universal Credit (including the housing cost element), Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Housing Benefit, Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), and other DWP benefits. Please contact us if you are unsure whether a specific benefit is accepted.
Yes. All properties are fully furnished and well-maintained. Residents move in to a clean, comfortable home that is ready from day one, so they can focus on settling in and building their independence rather than worrying about furnishings.
Every resident receives a personalised support plan from day one. This includes regular 1-to-1 tenancy sustainment coaching, monthly welfare check-ins, assistance with benefits and budgeting, and access to employment and wellbeing services. Support is light-touch and focused on building independence.
Shared units provide a private bedroom within a property where communal spaces (kitchen, bathroom, lounge) are shared with other residents. Self-contained units are fully private with their own facilities. Placement is determined during assessment based on the individual's needs and current availability.
Transitional housing is designed as a short-to-medium term solution while the resident works toward permanent accommodation. The length of stay is reviewed regularly as part of the move-on planning process, and our team will actively support the transition to longer-term housing when the time is right.
Yes. We work closely with local authority housing teams in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Halifax, as well as Registered Providers, social care teams and third sector organisations. If you are a professional looking to establish a referral pathway or partnership arrangement, please contact us directly.
